director of project operations

The ideal candidate is an active participant in supporting the development of the company’s Business Plan, Marketing Plan, and annual budget. They will function effectively when acting in a project manager role and will provide effective engineering and design services. The DPO is an active participant in the development and execution of EBDG’s Strategic plan and plays an important role in establishing and maintaining client relationships, developing proposals and signing on new projects.

project manager

The candidate who fills this role will lead project teams in the development of the modification and support of new commercial vessels, and modification and support of existing vessels. This individual may also provide leadership in project management practices, personnel, and standards development. Work will primarily be in the Seattle, WA office with travel for client meetings and inspections aboard ships and in shipyards.

marine mechanical engineer – entry and mid-level

The candidate who fills this role will provide marine systems engineering and design development of new commercial vessels, and modification and support of existing vessels. This individual will also be able to conduct analysis and develop detailed technical reports pertaining to marine systems selection, including propulsion configuration studies. Work will primarily be in our Seattle office with frequent national travel for field engineering, troubleshooting, testing and physically demanding inspections aboard ships and in shipyards.

electrical engineer – entry and mid-level

Preferred candidates will have one to two years of experience with a marine professional engineering firm and/or experience in a shipyard environment. Preferred candidates will also have one to two years of experience working with one-lines, electrical load analyses and wiring diagrams. Candidates without experience are still encouraged to apply, however. Experience in the use of electrical simulation software such as SKM Power*Tools is also beneficial.

marine engineer/naval architect – entry and mid-level

Preferred candidates will have will have a degree Naval Architecture or Engineering and familiarity with AutoCAD, solids modeling/3D design, stability software, finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, pipe system modeling, energy analysis and HVAC software. Some prior experience working in a naval architecture firm is a plus.
