Project Manager (Seattle)

The candidate who fills this role will lead project teams in the development of new commercial vessel designs, and modification and support of existing vessels.  This individual may also provide leadership in project management practice, personnel and standards development.  Work will primarily be in our Seattle office with frequent travel for client meetings and physically demanding inspections aboard ships and in shipyards.  Our team-based approach empowers staff to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary group.  The successful candidate will be working closely with a team of experienced naval architects, marine engineers, electrical engineers and marine designers and have the opportunity to manage relationships with existing clients as well as actively pursue new opportunities with potential clients.

Sr. Naval Architect/Marine Engineer (New Orleans)

The candidate who fills this role will have a proven ability to design and arrange details for primary and secondary ship structure.  The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering or a related degree and have at least ten years of experience in ship design.  Work will primarily be in our New Orleans office with occasional travel for testing and physically demanding inspections.  The position requires excellent writing skills.

Marine – Mechanical Engineer (Seattle Office)

The candidate who fills this role will provide marine systems engineering and design development of new commercial vessel designs, and modification and support of existing vessels.   Work will primarily be in our Seattle office with frequent travel for client meetings and physically demanding inspections aboard ships and in shipyards.  Our team-based approach empowers staff to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary group.  The successful candidate will be working closely with a team of experienced naval architects, marine engineers, electrical engineers and marine designers.  This position requires excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Senior Marine Structural Designer (Seattle Office)

The candidate who fills this role will provide design development of new commercial vessel designs, and modification and support of existing vessels.  This individual will have an excellent understanding how ship structure is arranged to meet regulatory requirements for efficient production and to facilitate maintenance.  This position requires the ability to develop structural designs in 2D as well as 3D modeling of ship’s structure with little or no guidance.  The position additionally requires the ability to integrate the structural design with mechanical and electrical systems and outfit.  The individual in this position will review other’s work, provide design guidance, expertise and mentoring and may participate in design standards development.  Work will primarily be in our Seattle office with some travel to inspect vessels under construction or for obtaining as-built information to support design modifications.  Our team-based approach empowers staff to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary group.  You will be working closely with a team of experienced naval architects, marine engineers, electrical engineers and marine designers.
