STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
Elliott Bay Design Group has gained significant experience in
all aspects of ship structural design optimization including
state-of-the-art finite element analyses (FEA) capability to perform
advanced structural analysis. We have naval architects and engineers
that can apply the appropriate level of expertise from concept
design to production support, under the direct supervision of
professional engineers.
Our engineers have significant hands-on experience in shipyards and
onboard vessels to fully understand hull and deck structures. Our
depth of experience ranges from basic hull, deck, and foundation
scantling design using regulatory formulas, to first principle
design and analysis including detailed strength and fatigue
analysis. We are very familiar with the use of USCG, ABS, DNV,
Lloyds, and most other regulatory criteria.
