SHIPYARD SUPPORT
The
staff at EBDG has provided construction support services for
shipyards across the country and understands what a yard needs to
efficiently build a quality vessel. The tools we use represent the
best value available for producing complete and highly accurate
construction support information. We take pride in our ability to
tailor our work product to suit the unique needs and processes of
each of our shipyard clients. Our knowledge of ship production also
allows us to assist with production planning and build strategy
ideas. It is this combination of the best tools and experience with
production engineering that allows EBDG to excel in supporting its
shipyard customers.
Functional Design
EBDG's team can take a new contract design and provide the final
functional design of structure, machinery, piping, electrical,
ventilation and outfit. A complete functional design will answer
all engineering questions and can include machinery specifications
and space arrangements. Purchase specifications for all long lead
items can be part of our service and completed before starting the
production detailing.
Production Support
For
the production support phase, EBDG works from the functional design
to deliver lofted hull structural drawings with cutouts for piping,
wiring and ventilation. Machinery foundations and outfit are
detailed and lofted. Piping is detailed with spooling pieces and
material lists. Wireways and ventilation ducting are rendered in
3-D to support machinery and accommodation arrangements. EBDG will
work closely with the shipyard production team based on their
production schedules and detail requirements.
