185' Lightering Support Vessel: EBDG designed this series of LSVs for AET. The new vessels measure 185' x 46' x 15', have an estimated lightship weight of 1670 tons and are designed to be easily built and operated. Four vessels are currently under construction.
Fishing Fleet On-Call Service & Support: EBDG supports fishing companies with a variety of engineering services including new vessel design, structural modifications, stability testing and documentation, changes in the fishing gear or processing plant, and electrical system upgrades.
Fireboat CHIEF SEATTLE Contract Design: EBDG has played a critical role in the design of modern fireboats, beginning with the CHIEF SEATTLE. Built in 1984 for the Seattle Fire Department, this vessel was the first large, all-aluminum, multi-purpose harbor service craft for firefighting, search and rescue, and disaster response.
R/V ATLANTIC EXPLORER Modifications: EBDG's research vessel experience includes new design, modifications, surveys, inspections and long-range planning support. Our clients include operators in Connecticut, Bermuda, the Great Lakes, and Alaska.
40' MPF Landing Craft: EBDG teamed with Kvichak Marine Industries to design a 40' utility boat for the Marine Positioning Force of the US Navy. This personnel landing craft has a cruise speed of 30 knots with a maximum of 40 knots. EBDG lofted the hull and superstructure, modeled all mechanical components and associated foundations and routed all fixed piping and hose and the exhaust system.
