offshore vessels

The stakes are high in the offshore oil industry. Operators need to get their jobs done on time and on budget. That requires well engineered vessels designed to provide maximum capabilities at competitive capital costs. The team at EBDG can help owners and operators minimize their risk and optimize their operations.

EBDG's staff has years of hands-on offshore oil field experience. With the addition of our Gulf Coast office, we can provide immediate support to the busy oil patch. With two offices offering naval architecture and marine engineering services, EBDG can be your complete source for offshore design solutions.

DEEPWORKER Design
EBDG's DEEPWORKER 2000 is a design for a new column stabilized and dynamically positioned work-over and subsea support vessel. With its SWATH design hull, the 260 feet by 104 feet footprint maximizes open deck space and has minimum motion characteristics similar to drilling semisubmersibles. Dedicated marine systems routings and vent lines are placed within the upper hull decks to provide an obstruction free upper work area aft of the deckhouse.

Design emphasis has been placed on areas dedicated to the electrical and control rooms, and large workshops. The deckhouse incorporates all of the commissioned and VIP crew as well as a large pilot and electronics area deck. It is designed for maximized visibility and supports a Sikorsky Model 76 helicopter. Access and egress have been emphasized for the safety of all compartments with two free-fall lifeboats provided in the stern.
