SEARIVER KODIAK & SIERRA Betterments
Scope of Work - EBDG was contracted in
2004 and again in 2005 by ExxonMobil/SeaRiver Maritime of Houston,
TX, to perform modification engineering for the KODIAK (ex-TONSINA)
and SIERRA (ex-KENAI). The 120KDWT crude oil tankers are used for
U.S. west coast crude oil transport from the Trans Alaskan Pipeline
Service in Valdez, Alaska. These vessels were originally constructed
by Sun Shipbuilding as U.S. Flag double hull ecological tankers for
worldwide crude oil trade.
All deliverables were approved by ABS to USCG
and SOLAS requirements. Modifications were performed at Jurong
Shipyard in Singapore. EBDG was tasked to prepare a detailed
contract design package including extensive shipboard as-built
measurements onboard the vessels.
