Container Crane Analysis
Scope of Work - EDBG was contracted by
Alexander & Company to provide engineering support for a supercargo
voyage of two Port of Seattle container cranes. The cranes were
being loaded onto the 300' x 90' x 20' VIKING I barge, traveling
through the Panama Canal to Port of Rio Haina in the Dominican
Republic.
EBDG's responsibility was two-part. First,
determine the seaway response accelerations for the sea fastening
structure design, and second, perform stability load-on and load-off
sequence calculations.
