260' OSV Detail Engineering
Scope of Work - In 2000, Elliott Bay
Design Group (EBDG) was retained by Hornbeck Offshore Services to
complete the detail engineering and 3-D structural and erection
modeling of a 260' Offshore Supply Vessel for Atlantic
Marine/Alabama Shipyard in relation to its new-build program.
EBDG provided state-of-the-art detail engineering technique and
technology to develop a full 3-D product model of this sophisticated
260' OSV series. The combination of the ShipConstructor suite
software and our engineering organization allowed the shipyard to
realize significant savings in production labor hours. Four vessels
have been built to this Leevac Industries design, utilizing the
engineering support of EBDG.
