Project Manager – Senior Engineer (Seattle)

The person who fills this role will lead project teams in the development of new commercial vessel designs, and modification and support of existing vessels. This individual will also provide senior engineer leadership of structural design, analysis and standards development. Work will primarily be in our Seattle office with frequent travel for field engineering, troubleshooting, testing and physically demanding inspections aboard ships and in shipyards. Our team-based approach empowers staff to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary group. You will be working closely with a team of experienced naval architects, marine engineers, electrical engineers and marine designers and have the opportunity to manage relationships with existing customers as well as to actively pursue new opportunities with potential customers.

Mid-Level Naval Architect/Marine Engineer (Seattle)

The candidate we are looking for has to have the ability to design and arrange details for ship structure.  Candidate must be able to develop supporting calculations for required scantlings and welds, have experience with SOLAS, USCG-inspected vessel regulations and ABS class rules, outfitting and naval architectural support for common shipyard activities.  The successful candidate must be a self-starter with excellent writing and oral communication skills and will be able to work both independently and with a team.  The type of career-oriented individual we are looking for will have already passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (EIT) and intends to obtain a PE license when qualified.
